In the early 1960s, the Gujarat Government established a prominent mining company that has become India’s largest merchant seller of lignite, alongside producing bauxite, fluorspar, and manganese ore. With a substantial impact across industries such as textiles, chemicals, ceramics, bricks, and power, the company became known not only for its resources but also as a leading power generator. Now, recognizing the need for a specialized institution focused on mining, the company embarked on a visionary project: establishing an International Center in Mining.

The center aims to bridge critical gaps between industry requirements and academic standards, offering a Premier Institute for Sustainable Mining Education and Research. The vision to position India at the forefront of mining education and sustainable practices, fostering a globally collaborative environment. The center’s mission extends beyond education – it aims to drive skill development, corporate training, technology demonstration, and innovation to cultivate best practices and entrepreneurial pursuits in mining.

 

The challenges were substantial. Bridging the academic-industry which required an intensive approach, aligning the needs of the mining sector with the highest educational standards. Recruiting qualified manpower in mining, education, and providing training was an critical task.

In collaboration with Eduprogress and Research Pvt. Ltd., the center embarked on a transformative journey, moving seamlessly from concept to implementation. Eduprogress Crafted a Comprehensive Phased Plan Strategy, meticulously addressing every project detail. This tailored blueprint targeted specific audiences and skill gaps, empowering the client with insights for informed decision-making and equipping them to confidently engage with dynamic national and international training landscapes.

 

Eduprogress developed an Mining Academic Model designed to establish a robust academic framework supporting education, research, skill development, and training in mining, safety, and automation. The team carefully identified collaboration partners, facilitating connections and scheduling meetings to foster meaningful engagement. Additionally, Eduprogress prepared MOUs and partnership agreements, formalizing these strategic initatives.

Eduprogress conducted an in-depth analysis of current and emerging government schemes, building a comprehensive Fundraising Strategy to maximize opportunities. The team identified relevant funding schemes, prepared and submitted funding proposal applications with the Government of Gujarat, and developed a Detailed Project Report. Eduprogress also facilitated regular meetings, providing guidance throughout statutory procedures and approval processes with the Gujarat Government. Their support included assisting with application submissions, securing grant approvals, and delivering ongoing progress reports.

Eduprogress played a crucial role in Institutional Program Launch by identifying academic and mining Experts. We carefully curated a list of talented professionals from both national and international platforms, ensuring a diverse and highly skilled pool of candidates. Eduprogress not only shortlisted the most suitable individuals but also facilitated the entire process of connecting with these candidates by scheduling meeting and assisting with their onboarding. Our efforts aligned the institution’s academic offerings with industry standards, creating an environment conducive to growth and innovation.
